Designed in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette, the Odenette was created as a fast roll-out item to support immediate community recovery efforts.

Inspiration came from the order Odonata—ancient, vibrant flying insects that include the dragonfly, which directly inspired the design of this wallet. Dragonflies symbolize courage, strength, and happiness, representing a time of rejuvenation after a long period of hardship.

The Odenette passport holders are statement pieces and are made out of upcycled kayak parts.

WHAT MAKES IT GOOD?

Project Nova is an initiative by KayakAsia Philippines, an eco-adventure kayak touring company run and managed by local guides. The organization works closely with host communities to offer alternative livelihoods aligned with their core philosophy, including river and coastal guiding, artisanal handcrafting of upcycled gear, and community environmental stewardship programs.

In addition to providing high-value employment to community members, a monthly share of revenue goes directly into a community fund to support locally driven livelihood projects.
