Made from recycled marine debris & ocean bound plastic, this karab (carabiner) is perfect and durable hook. 

The solution to our plastic waste could not just be clean-ups. Otherwise, we are just transferring waste from our oceans to our landfills which will trickle back to our oceans once again. Trash moves in circles as well. Turning them into functional items rids of the chance for this trash to end up in landfills or our waters.

Each Karab is made of 4-6 bottle caps.

NOTE: As each karab is made out of unique caps, the colors are RANDOM. 

WHAT MAKES IT GOOD?

Project Nova is an initiative by KayakAsia Philippines, an eco-adventure kayak touring company run and managed by local guides. The organization works closely with host communities to offer alternative livelihoods aligned with their core philosophy, including river and coastal guiding, artisanal handcrafting of upcycled gear, and community environmental stewardship programs.

In addition to providing high-value employment to community members, a monthly share of revenue goes directly into a community fund to support locally driven livelihood projects.
