In a country where "Cleanliness is next to godliness" is plastered all over school walls and folks can't go a day without a full bath (or two!), it's alarming that children in underserved communities are still at very high risk of deadly but preventable hygiene-related diseases like lung infections and diarrhea.
Squeaky Clean Kids was founded by three doctors who have seen hundreds of consistently sick children from underprivileged families in underserved communities all over the country.
Their first hygiene campaigns started with collecting unused hotel toiletries stashed at home and distributing these as hygiene kits for underprivileged kids, before evolving into a soap-making enterprise.
Aside from funding homemade and handmade anti-bacterial organic soap for kids in need through each purchase of their soap bars, Squeaky Clean Kids has also conducted hygiene awareness campaigns in GK Enchanted Farm, GK Towerville, and General Luna in Siargao. Through these, they are able to teach kids proper handwashing techniques and educate communities on good sanitation practices.
